Songkhla - Of Interest over the last 12 months

We are back in Songkhla and with-in hours we are____

down to the local fresh markets to load up on fresh veggies!

Then off to our favourite Chook rice place, with fresh chook deliveries in progress.

This guy has been weaving for 24 years, 230 yards of fabric, 20 days to lace the loom, weave 3 yards a day = 76 days. A total of 96 days, sell the fabric for Baht 40 per yard $1.33 which equates to $306 for 3.2 month work, and that's not taking into account the thread cost!!

June 2011 and back for a short visit and Khun Lek has retired. Our new Pork seller with our slab of  PORK - soon to be chopped up at home into Pork Chops, ribs, and belly meat - YUM!! Just under 4kg @ baht 180/kg = $5.62/kg

Well 'Boss' we have to get the containers moved around and no lifting baskets has been provided, so we did the next best thing - Ride on the slings. Notice only two slings in use. Assume they are empty container!

Now that's a 'BIRDIE' from 145 yards with no flag stick.

To early for flags to be in place, they are stored over night or they tend to walk! (pure fluke)
